Living in Harmony With the Seasons

Living by the seasons is an extension to living in harmony with the environment. When we live by the seasons, respecting the energetic ebbs and flows of the natural world, we become more in sync with our environment and can tune in to their support and guidance.

Spring is the time for renewal and the natural world is certainly demonstrating this with new growth and life. This season also provides space and opportunity for us to cleanse, detox and revitalize.

Spring is also the season for the liver and gallbladder meridians. Some signs include lack of physical flexibility, anger, depression, and indecision. We can help our liver and gallbladder meridians work more optimally by doing Yoga and encouraging good energy flow as well as Reiki to remove stagnant energy. Juicing using herbs and seasonal fruits and vegetables is another great way to clear out toxins and have us feeling revitalized.

The following Yoga poses can help balance the flow of energy, cleanse the digestive and elimination systems and provide fresh blood supply to our internal organs. They can also calm the mind and revitalize the nervous system.
